All island schools athletic meet:
Fernando, Senanayake the best
A.D.A. Fernando of Joseph Vaz College Wennappuwa
and S.R.J.P. Senanayake were adjudged the best male and female
athletes at the 2012 All Island Schools Athletic meet while the
Western Province won the championship with 874 points and Central
Province were runners up with 612 points.

of Sports and the Ministry of Higher Education together have drawn
up plans to benefit students who had devoted their time on sports
and could not gain admission to the Universities due to lack of
marks.
