Moratu Vidyalaya beat Wesley College, Colombo by a narrow margin of two runs in their inter-school under-13 division one cricket tournament match conducted by the Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association and played at Colombo.

Vidyalians batted first scored 110 runs with Nadith Nisendra making the top score of 42 runs while Sakintha Liyanage claimed 3 for 26 for the Weslyites. In reply homesters were all out for 108 runs with Chamal Namesh scoring 26 runs.

When stumps were drawn visitors were 67 for 3 with Shehada Soysa on 22 runs.

Moratu Vidyalaya: 110 (Nadith Nishendra 42, Nirmal Udayanga 20, Sakintha Liyanage 3/26) and 67/3 (Shehada Soysa 22).
