Sri Lanka beat Malaysia and Iran
Sri Lanka registered victories over Malaysia (31-19) and Iran (24-0)
while losing to China (7-28) on the opening day of the Mumbai Rugby
Sevens.
In the first match against Malaysia Nigel Ratwatte (2), Srinath
Sooriyabandara (1), Chula Susantha (1) and Saliya Handapangoda (1)
scored the tries for Sri Lanka with Fazil Marija converting two tries.
The scores read 14-all at half time. Sri Lanka will now take on Hong
Kong in the Cup quarter-finals today.
