BASL Sports Gala today

Over the past years, the annual Sports Gala organised by the Sports Committee of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka has been a prime event in its calendar. The Sports Gala has been the event that unites lawyers from more than 70 Branch Associations around the country, with their families, in a display of their sporting talents.

The Sports Gala encompasses many sporting disciplines including, but not limited to, outdoor games such as Athletics, Cricket, Swimming and indoor games such as Tennis, Badminton, Table Tennis, Volleyball, Netball and fun events and children's games.

The Sports Committee anticipates the participation of more than 1,000 lawyers from island-wide Branch Associations and the judges for the event scheduled to be held on the 14th of October 2012 at St. Josephs College premises, Colombo 10 from 7.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.

The Chief Guest for the Opening Ceremony at 9.00 a.m. will be the President of the BASL Wijeyadasa Rajapaksa PC and the Chief Guest for the Awards Distribution at 4.00 p.m. will be the Acting Attorney General Yuwanjan Wijayatilake PC.
