FCC Commissioner meets AmCham Members

Federal Communications Commission Commissioner (FCCC) Ms. Mignon L. Clyburn met industry specialists from the Telecommunication, Information Technology and BPO sectors at a private meeting organised by the American Chamber of Commerce ( AmCham) recently at the Galadari Hotel.

The FCC Commissioner stressed the importance of learning and growing with the new technology to meet future demands.

The meeting also discussed the regulators and the role of Government in telecommunications.

The Commissioner said that it is important that the Government and the private sector work together to promote effective communication because neither party can achieve success on their own.

The meeting which was an interactive discussion comprised AmCham Members from Aeturnum Lanka, Eureka Technology Partners, Calcey Technologies, John Keells Computer, Amba Research, Microsoft Sri Lanka, Motorola Technologies, RR Donnelley Global BPO, Dialog Axiata and Virtusa.
