Regional trade conference in Colombo
The Asia Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum (APTFF) will be held in
Colombo on October 30 and 31.
At the APTFF, countries exchange information, experiences and
practices for trade facilitation in the Asia Pacific region, identify
priority areas for regional co-operation and integration and learn about
new tools and services which can increase the efficiency of cross border
transactions that will ultimately improve the competitiveness of firms
in the region.
To collaborate with the Government and understand how other countries
in Asia and the Pacific have successfully implemented trade facilitation
measures for SMEs, 25 officials from the Chambers of Commerce, Industry
and Agriculture in Ampara, Batticaloa, Trincomalee, Kandy, Hambantota,
Matale, Badulla, Jaffna, Vavuniya, Galle, Mannar and Matara will
participate in the Asia Pacific Trade Facilitation Forum, which will be
co-hosted by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
