Seminar to formulate strategy for local industries

The Pathfinder Foundation will hold a seminar on December 11 at the BMICH from 2.30 p.m. To 5.30 p.m, to promote dialogue among stakeholders whereby a strategy will be formulated to meet the concerns of local industries.

Head of the Department of Economics at the University of Colombo, Prof. Sirimal Abeyratne, has completed the analytical study and looks at the current status of Sri Lankan industries with Indian supply chains.

Dr. Abeyratne has identified existing constraints and opportunities for expansion of such relationships for the benefit of local business in general and industry in particular. The findings of this study and policy recommendations to business chambers, policy makers, the political leadership and individual industries will be presented at the seminar.
