Kaweesh Pushpakumara 158 not out helps Galle to easy win over Matara

A fine unbeaten century by Kaweesh Pushpakumara (158 not out) helped Galle District beat Matara District by 177 runs in the Prima Inter-District Under-15 Tournament match at the Galle International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

Batting first, Galle District made 323 for 8 wickets in 50 overs with Kaweesh Pushpakumara leading the way with his fine batting. Matara District were all out for 146 runs in 39 overs. Galle District: 323 for 8 wkts in 50 overs (Kaweesh Pushpakumara 158 not out, Chathura Milan 43, Manisha Jayantha 22, Danuka Priyadarshana 24, Tharindu Maduranga 2 for 33, Chatura Jayawickrema 2 for 77).

Matara District: 146 in 39 overs (Rajantha Chandula 48, Ramesh Nimantha 37, Danusha Priyadarshana 2 for 7, Bhanuka Dilshan 2 for 24).
