Chaaya Citadel Kandy awarded three ISO certifications
Chaaya Citadel Kandy recently received three ISO certifications - ISO
22000; 2005 for Food Safety Management, ISO 14001 for its environment
and OHSAS 18001 for occupational health and safety.
ISO certifications are presented by the "International Organisation
for Standardisation", the world's largest developer of standards. Such
international standardisation occurs when a majority of products and
services in an industry conform to standards set through careful
analysis of specifications and criteria applying to various parts of the
business.
Thus from a consumer's point of view, these certifications provide
assurance about important factors such as quality, safety and
reliability.
The most recent Chaaya hotel to be launched on September 23, 2006,
Chaaya Citadel Kandy received these certifications not too long after
Chaaya Village Habarana received the same certifications.
CEO, Chaaya Hotels and Resorts, Jayantissa Kehelpannala thanked
everyone involved, especially the staff of the hotels, for their
dedication and effort put in at all times to obtain these
certifications.
