ANCL to celebrate Navarathri festival

The Lake House Hindu Association's Navarathri Festival will be held on October 19 at 9 a.m. at the All-Ceylon Hindu Congress Auditorium in Colombo.

The highlight of the event will be the award Jalatheepam which will be presented for the first time to eminent educationist and the Dean of the Faculty of Education of the University of Colombo Prof. S. Chandrasekaram.

A musical program by the members of the Tamil Society of S. Thomas' College, Mount Lavinia and dance recitals by the students of Barathanatyam exponent 'Kalasoori' Vasuki Jegatheeswaran will also be presented.

ANCL Chairman Bandula Padmakumara will be the Chief Guest, at the festival, where 'Jalatheepam' the annual magazine of the Lake House Hindu Association, will be released.
