Restrictions on fishing in East relaxed
The naval restrictions imposed on fishing boats
in the Eastern seas have been lifted and fishermen in the area can
engage in fishing at any time, the Fisheries Minister Felix Perera
told the Sunday Observer.

ASPs exam on Nov. 17, 18
The Department of Examinations has informed the
National Police Commission (NPC) that arrangements have been made to
hold the Open and Limited Competition Examination to recruit of
Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASPs) on November 17 and 18.
