La Musique Pastorale

"La Musique Pastorale" - A unique festival of choirs organised by St. Lawrence's School, Wellawatte will be held on October 19 at 6.30 p.m. at the BMICH. The festival will feature nine choirs from nine different schools managed by the Good Shepherd sisters in Sri Lanka. At the grand finale a choir of 200 singers will perform two songs. Altogether about 500 Shepherdians will participate from different parts of the country.

The idea of organising this event is to promote and display the talents and capabilities of the students as well as to form links among the Shepherdian schools and make the students more conscious of the social needs of our people. Already 09 schools in the Colombo district as well as the outstations have consented to participate.

The following schools will perform at the choral fiesta: Good Shepherd Convent, Kandy, St. Bridget's Convent, Colombo 07, Ave Maria Convent, Negombo, Good Shepherd Convent, Panadura, Good Shepherd Convent, Nayakakanda, St. Sebastian's Balika Maha Vidyalaya, Kandana, St. Anthony's Balika Maha Vidyalaya, Mutuwal, St. Joseph's Balika Maha Vidyalaya, Grandpass and St. Lawrence's School, Wellawatte.
