Enhancing prestige of Lanka tea-SLTB
Sri Lanka is certain of achieving US$ 20 billion
export revenue by 2020 and surpassing US$ 2.5 billion in tea exports
by 2015, said Industry and Commerce Minister Rishard Bathiudeen at
the launch of the Ozone Friendly Ceylon Tea logo by the Sri Lanka
Tea Board (SLTB) on Wednesday.

Etisalat launches LTE ready 3.75G network
Etisalat deployed a Long Term Evolution (LTE)
ready network for the first time in Sri Lanka, with their 3.75G
HPSA+ (Evolved high speed packet access) wireless network, making it
the first and only all-IP based network in Sri Lanka which has the
infrastructure capability of providing a data rate up to 42 Mbps
(megabits per second), using dual carrier technology.

Earnings from exports grew 51.9% in February
The trade deficit in February expanded by 9.1
percent, year-on-year to $ 376 million the latest statistics
