BreadTalk launched in Colombo
BreadTalk, a world renowned food chain operator in Singapore opened
its first outlet in Sri Lanka on Thursday. The outlet in Colombo marks
the 15th market expansion of the BreadTalk Group which was founded as a
food and beverage operator in 2000.
The duplex outlet comprises a build area of 300 squar metres with a
capacity for 60 dine-in customers. The outlet in Colombo is the largest
to-date.
Floss, cures of golden flower, 15 RPM sausage, curry naan, sardine
sayang, curry dosa and smart aleck are some of the products of
BreadTalk.
Sri Lanka Managing Director Yatila Wijemanne said that bread will do
the talking and baffle the food chain industry in Sri Lanka.
"The launch of BreadTalk in Sri Lanka is a landmark day for the
boutique bakery industry and quick service restaurants in the country",
he said.
