Novel housing project in Athurugiriya soon

Prime Homes International Ltd, a BOI approved company will launch a novel housing project in Athurugiriya in the near future themed "Affordable luxury".This theme was introduced to blend with the concepts of affordability and luxury and to give the customer a unique housing experience said Chairman B.A.Premalal.

A customer who purchases a house under this project will get an opportunity to enjoy modern day luxuries such as a swimming pool, gymnasium paved roads as well as a 24 hour security service. He said that this concept will be launched to give customers the best when it comes to housing as a customer invests his life's long earnings to have his dream home.

Prime Lands, the flag ship company under the group with four branches in Kandy, Galle, Embilipitiya and Horana cover over 12 districts in the country focus on customer needs with an innovative process.

"We as a company always cater to the needs of customers",said Premalal.

He said eight months ago Prime Lands, acquired the troubled pioneering micro finance company and rebranded it as Prime Grameen Micro Finance Ltd. It is a Central Bank approved finance company and has 48 branches covering the island.

The focus of this company is to provide micro finance loans to needy, marginalised women to commence an enterprise of their own.

The company offers advances to needy womenfolk and helps to create micro entrepreneurs in the country which positively contributes to alleviate poverty in the country. He said that since, they acquired the company within a short period of seven months . They have disbursed over Rs 2.3 b in micro loans to over 80,000 customers.

Prime Grameen Micro Finance ltd. is empowered by the Central Bank to secure deposits from the public as a Licensed Financed Company.

He said that the deposits contribute to provide the finance to generate micro loans and called them 'Deposits in humanity'. He said that micro loans from Rs 25,000 to Rs 100,000 defines a positive change in the lifestyles of the beneficiaries. The Prime Grameen theme of 'Bringing life to the World of others' is mainly achieved through 'Deposits in Humanity' by

the ever enlarging depositor base. Premalal said that the company has started to record profits after the company was taken over by Prime Lands while it has helped to build trust and confidence among new and existing customers. He said that they have received over 500 new deposits whilst deposits to the value of over Rs 500m had been renewed.

They are planning to launch novel products for the SME sector to enhance the SME sector he said.
