Mihin flights to Dhaka daily
Mihin Lanka hopes to fly daily to Dhaka in the near future,
increasing facilities to the travellers.
"We have received an encouraging response from the Bangladesh market
which led us to increase our flights to four on October 30, 2011.
We added the fifth frequency very recently-on March 30," Chief
Executive Officer of the airline Kapila Chandrasena told a press meeting
in Dhaka on Thursday.
He said Mihin Lanka started its Bangladesh operations on December 11,
2010 with three flights, paving the way for direct air services after a
long interval. Mihin Lanka, which started operations in April 2007,
flies to Dubai, Bodh Gaya, Tiruchirapalli, Varanasi, Kuwait, Maldives,
Jakarta, Sharjah, Bangkok, Trivandrum, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Mumbai,
Bangalore, New Delhi, Kochi, Chennai, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Some
of the flights are on a code-share basis with SriLankan Airlines.

Rome, Milan flights continue as usual
SriLankan Airlines announced yesterday that its services to Rome,
Milan and Moscow will remain uninterrupted as per the present schedule.
The flight frequencies to these destinations will also remain the same,
the airline said.
The large Sri Lankan community in Italy and Italian tourists will
benefit through this move. There is also no change in its operations to
London, Paris and Frankfurt. |
