Thalatuoya central girls emerge U-17 soccer champs

FOOTBALL: Thalatuoya Central College emerged champions in the under-17 Girls Football Tournament jointly organised by the Kandy Association Football League, Football Federation of Sri Lanka and Department of Education.

In their run up to championship honours, Thalatuoya Central College beat Kimbissa Maha Vidyalaya, Sigiriya by 3 goals to nil, drew nil-all with Vihara Maha Devi Vidyalaya, Then in another match in the same tourney, Vihara Maha Devi Vidyalaya, Kandy beat Kimbissa M.V. By 3 goals to 1.

The tournament was won by goals scored. Thalatuoya Central number of goals scored 3 against nil, Vihara Maha Devi Vidyalaya number of goals scored 3 against 1.
