Hill Club Ranking Tennis Tourney April 11 to 15

TENNIS: The Hill Club Annual Ranking Tennis Tournament, one of the premier events of the Nuwara Eliya Season, is scheduled to be held from the 11th to the 15th of April 2012'. This is a popular event with tennis enthusiasts in the country and several top-tanking players participating. The tournament is classified as 'B' grade.

This tournament comprises three events namely, Junior, Open and Veterans.

The Hill Club boasts of four of the finest clay courts in the Island and in the days gone by was a venue for the National Tennis Championship. The Courts are still in condition and have been prepared for the forthcoming event with great diligence. Many a historic battle for the National Championship had been fought here between Sri Lanka stalwarts and top-class foreign players.

Entries close on 4th April, 2012 at the Hill Club and 5th of April, 2012 at SLTA at 3 p.m. Draw will be held on 5th April, 2012 at 5 pm at the SLTA The tournament has been organised by the Hill Club in association with the Sri Lanka Tennis Association and joint Sponsorship of Range Rover (Land Rover), Singer Sri Lanka and HNB Assurance.
