50th anniversary of ANCL Mihintale Aloka pooja

The Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited (ANCL) will conduct the Mihintale sacred area Aloka pooja for the 50th consecutive year from today till June 5.

Abans Limited will sponsor the Mihintale Aloka pooja for the seventh consecutive year.

The Ceylon Electricity Board has extended its fullest cooperation to this noble cause. The Aloka pooja will benefit thousands of pilgrims visiting Mihintale for Poson religious observances.

ANCL and Abans will also hold series of community events that would benefit residents of the area. A newly constructed Poyage will be also be opened tomorrow, Poson Poya Day.
