Biggest Sri Lankan Expo in US in August

The Sri Lanka Day Expo will be held on August 25 from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm at 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, USA.

The biggest Sri Lankan event to be held in the United States, the Expo would be hosted by Sri Lanka Foundation and includes the Sri Lankan Curry Festival featuring exotic delicacies and sweets.

A large stage near Wilshire Boulevard will feature non-stop entertainment including traditional Sri Lankan dancers, drummers and performers in full costume, as well as young Sri Lankan American musicians playing pop music.

At 4.00 pm the Sri Lanka Day Parade, with more than 200 performers in colourful costumes, will stroll down the Promenade with a theatre elephant paying homage to the annual Esala Perahera held in the city of Kandy.
