Two Thurstanites in ding-dong battle for top place

OBSERVER-MOBITEL AWARDS: The tussle between the two Thurstanites Ashan Wanigaratne (53,165) and Sajeeva Salgado (51,984) continued as Wanigaratne took the lead from Salgado with a majority of 1,181 votes at the end of count number 15 in the Sunday Observer/Mobitel Most Popular Schoolboy (All-Island) category.

In the Outstation category, the contest is becoming even more intense with Kavindu Ashan (33,104) who is placed number one has a lead of only 192 votes over his closest rival Angelo Jayasinghe (32,912) of Maris Stella, Negombo who is in second place.
