PLC marks 'World Environmental Day'

Marking World Environmental Day on June 5, People's Leasing Company
(PLC) hosted five plant distribution programs 'Plant trees and protect
the environment' at five branches of PLC including Colombo
(Metropolitan), Galle, Jaffna, Ampara and Bandarawela representing the
Western, Southern, Northern, Eastern and Uva provinces.
The main event was held at the Metropolitan branch in Colombo. DGM,
Marketing and Business Development, Gamini Sarath, Chief Operating
Officer, People's Insurance Limited, Nimal Perera, Senior Manager, Risk
Management and Control, Andy Ratnayake, Manager, Metropolitan branch,
Nandana Weerakkody, Head of City branch Sisira Gamage and PLC staff were
present.
The metropolitan branch distributed 100 saplings among customers and
conducted awareness programs on protecting the environment and waste
management while nutritious kola kenda was served as refreshment.
Other branches also conducted similar events. |
