Ericsson recognised for telecom operations management
Ericsson was named the worldwide leader in telecom operations
management by industry analyst firm Gartner (Market Share Analysis:
Telecom Operations Management Worldwide, 2011-2012, April 29, 2012).
According to the report, which profiles the top five telecom
operations management system vendors, Ericsson was ranked first
worldwide for OSS (Operations Support Systems), BSS (Business Support
Systems) and Next-Generation Service Delivery and Provisioning solutions
and services.
Head of Ericsson's Business Unit Support Solutions, Per Borgklint
said, "Over the past two years, Ericsson has made strategic acquisitions
and investments to position the company as a market leader in telecom
operations management.
Today, we are proud Ericsson has been named the worldwide leader in
Gartner's telecom operations management systems report and believe this
was a due to our strategy and efforts," he said.
"Looking ahead, we anticipate that Ericsson's forefront position in
the IP, LTE (Long Term Evolution) and self-organising network technology
domains will drive additional demand for telecom operations management
system solutions and services, leading to prime involvement in major
communication service providers' transformation programs," Borgklint
said.
President of Ericsson Malaysia and Sri Lanka, Todd Ashton said, "We
