Semi-finalists found

Visakha Vidyalaya, Sangamitta Balika Vidyalaya, Matale, Seetha Devi Balika Vidyalaya and Musaeus College, Colombo entered the semi-finals of the all island girls Under-17 hockey tournament organised by the Sri Lanka Schools Hockey Association and played at Nandimithra Ekanayake International Hockey Stadium, Matale yesterday. The tournament will be continued today at 8 am.

The semi-final line up this morning will be Sangamitha BV Vs Seetha Devi BV and Visakha Vidyalaya vs Musaeus College which will be played this morning. The final is scheduled to be played at 3 pm at the same venue.

In the pre-quarter finals played yesterday Sangamitha BV beat Uva Science College 6-0, Vihara Maha Devi BV Badulla beat Bishops College 1-0 on penalty strokes, Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, Colombo beat Girls High School, Kandy 2-0 on penalty strokes, Sri Sumangala BV Panadura beat Pushpadana Girls College, Kandy 2-0 on penalty strokes, Janadhipathi Vidyalaya, Nawala beat St. Anthony's Girls College, Kandy 2-0. Musaeus College beat Kalutara BV 3-2 on penalty strokes.

In the quarter finals Sangamitha BV beat Vihara Maha Devi BV 3-0 Seetha Devi BV beat Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya, Colombo 2-1 on penalty strokes. Visakha Vidyalaya beat Panadura Balika Vidyalaya 1-0, Musaeus College beat Kalutara Balika Vidyalaya 1-0.
