Trinity captain Shehan de Silva picked to swim at Singapore

Trinity College, Kandy’s swimming captain Shehan de Silva has been
selected to swim in the Singapore Swimming Nationals to be held in
Singapore from June 21 to 31. He will be representing Sri Lanka national
team and will compete in the 100 metres Dolphin Stroke and 100 metres
Butterfly Stroke.
Shehan de Silva is in fine form at present and at the recently
concluded CEPASA Swimming Championship won five gold medals in the
Over-16 Age Group Championship and in the process broke five meet
records. Net at the National Short Course Championship, he established
the 50 metes record for the Butterfly Stroke event.
He also led Trinity College to win the National Penthathlon Swimming
Championship after a lapse of 6 years and also led the team from the
front by scoring the most number of points for the team. |
