NITF ties up with Lanka Hospitals
The National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF) which provides insurance
coverage for over 1.2 million government beneficiaries signed an
agreement with Lanka Hospitals to provide Agrahara medical insurance
beneficiaries easier access to medical facilities.
The partnership which has been carried out for the past three years
between the two parties was recently extended for the fourth consecutive
year.
Chief Executive Officer, Lanka Hospitals, Lakith Peiris said,
"Through this partnership, Agrahara medical insurance beneficiaries can
enjoy Lanka Hospital facilities such as low room rates with a discount
of 10%, inpatient laboratory investigations - 10% discount, a 15%
discount for outpatient laboratory services and 5% discount for
radiology investigations."
"A dedicated counter for Agrahara medical insurance beneficiaries
within the hospital premises will assist beneficiaries with their
medical and insurance needs bringing further convenience and peace of
mind," he said.
"The National Insurance Trust Fund has facilitated the electronic
card system which contains all the personal details of the
beneficiaries.
The electronic card enables Agrahara medical insurance beneficiaries
to make payment at the Lanka Hospitals counters as and when treatment is
obtained, as opposed to pocketing out the cash and having it reimbursed
later," Peiris said. |
