Hakmana gets a facelift

Hakmana Pradeshiya Sabha has taken the initiative to expedite rural development programs in the area. According to Hakmana Predeshiya Sabha Chairman C.H. Halpage most of the community development activities commenced in the division have made a noticeable improvement at present.

Projects included deepening and clearing of silt in the Denagama irrigation tank, construction of play grounds of Meelle, Karatota and Gangodagama government schools, construction and reconstruction of irrigation anicuts and canals in the area. A sum of Rs.60.5 million has been allocated for these development activities by the government

Hakmana Pradeshiya Sabha Chairman C.H. Halpage said, work on most of these development activities have been completed and the rest are nearing completion.

They too are expected to be finished soon Hakmana PS Chairman C.H. Halpage said.
