Community Health Program launched

Community health promotional activities such as Child and maternity clinics, awareness programs and communicable and non-communicable disease clinics, dengue and rabies control and eradication of health hazards are being launched in the Kirinda-Puhulwella area, according to MOH, Dr. Sudath Silva.

Food vendors and the business community are made aware on the importance of food safety and the need to maintain hygienic standards.In addition, raids and inspections will be conducted on food outlets which sell food items unfit for human consumption during the festive season.

The support of all health personnel Grama Niladharis, voluntary organisations and residents will be mobilised to ensure the success of this health campaign, the MOH said.

The improvement of community health would be the prime aim of the health promotional programs.
