She’s my best friend!

She waits impatiently till I come from school to play with me. She runs fast and challenges me to beat her. At difficult times when I strongly need someone beside me, she becomes my companion. She cheers me on when life is low. Her purr and fur have the ability to fill my heart with joy.

She bangs her head with mine as a display of her overflowing love. When she needs something, it’s really hard to keep walking, as she cries and rubs her body while blocking my path.

Dogs are her enemies as they make her get all furry. I have had plenty of sleepless nights when she sleeps on my legs, curled up like a wheel or stretching herself. She loves my warmth as much as I love hers.

She tries to escape whenever she sees water. Cleaning her is more difficult than doing my homework.

She gets so jealous when she sees me petting some other animals. When someone else pets her, I too get the same feeling. At evenings she never misses to fall asleep on my lap when I sit down to read a book. She is such a marvellous cat and I feel as if I had known her all my life, even though she was given to me by my dad only several years ago. I consider this the most valuable gift he has given me. She is most certainly, my best friend. I love cuddling her and I find her so adorable. My cat never has a permanent name as I change it from time to time. Now I call her ‘Darling!’

My pet parrot

My pet is a parrot. Its colour is green. As parrots’ beaks are red in colour, my pet too has a red beak.

Parrots are birds and have feathers. They can fly. But they have two legs too.

My pet parrot eats fruits like all parrots. Parrots are clever and can talk.

Kitty, the cat

My pet is a cat. Its name is Kitty. My pet is white in colour. Its body is covered with a lot of fur.It can climb trees and run very fast. It like to drink milk. Kitty is friendly and plays with me. It is a clever hunter. Rats are very frightened of it. It likes to sleep on our chairs. I love my Kitty.
