From hell to heaven
A long march from lunatic asylum to hospital with
a heart:
Reminiscent of regalia of the British Empire, a
tall elegant building stands in a strangely spacious land in the
suburb of Colombo, Angoda. The building was constructed by the
British as far back as 1929 albeit it still stands tall amidst host
of other buildings that make up the Angoda Mental (Teaching)
Hospital.

himself to me by saying there are two sides to his life. One is his
life at Lake House as a professional photographer. The other, is his
personal life, which he says will bore everyone to death because so
many have already written so much about it.

German for school teachers
The Education Department has officially
recognized the German language as an optional subject amongst other
foreign languages in public and private schools. To cover the great
demand of teachers, the Goethe-Institut has launched a special
program to train English teachers to learn German at their premises.
