Reminiscent of regalia of the British Empire, a tall elegant building stands in a strangely spacious land in the suburb of Colombo, Angoda. The building was constructed by the British as far back as 1929 albeit it still stands tall amidst host of other buildings that make up the Angoda Mental (Teaching) Hospital.

German for school teachers

The Education Department has officially recognized the German language as an optional subject amongst other foreign languages in public and private schools. To cover the great demand of teachers, the Goethe-Institut has launched a special program to train English teachers to learn German at their premises.
