ICICI Bank wins Outstanding Regional Private Bank AP award

Mumbai: ICICI Bank (NYSE: IBN) received the 'Outstanding Regional Private Bank - Asia Pacific' award from Private Banker International at the just concluded 17th Private Banker International Wealth Management Summit 2007.ICICI Bank is the first Indian bank to get this award.

Head, Product and Strategy, International Private Banking, ICICI Bank Girish Nayak and Head, Retail Liabilities Group (Sales), ICICI Bank Kanwar Vivek received the award at the ceremony held in Singapore.

Head, Global Private Banking, ICICI Bank Anup Bagchi said, "We are delighted to receive this award. It validates strategies and products that ICICI Bank Private Banking offers to its High Networth Individual (HNIs) customers and the continued faith our HNI customers have in us.

Being a financial super-house in India with undisputed leadership in wealth management and retail banking ICICI Bank has also successfully developed global capabilities in offering a wide range of banking financial solutions from our offshore offices which span 18 countries. Our product specialists, based out of India and overseas locations, continuously research the international financial markets and asset classes and come out with innovative products".

Managing Editor Private Banker International and lead judge for the awards program John Evans said "ICICI Bank is one of the few banks in Asia that is taking to fight the Western home markets of the big guns of global wealth management. It has a growing international network in Europe, North America and the Middle East, a great machine to attract NRI money and strength indepth when it comes to creating a domestic wealth franchise."

The Bank received several awards in the banking sector such as "Bank of Year-2006" by The Banker, "Best Bank of the Year 2006" by Business India. The Bank was listed among the top 50 companies in Asia by Forbes.

The Asset also awarded the Bank with the "Triple AAA" Best Transaction Bank, Trade Finance and Domestic Custody 2006 in India, Global Finance Award for the World's Best Foreign Exchange Bank from India" and the "World's Best Trade Finance from India". ICICI Bank also won the NDTV Profit Business Leadership Award in the Banking category, Reader's Digest India - Most Trusted Brand Award for 2006 voted by consumers.
