Hemantha Warnakulasuriya to be feted

The members of the Bar Association and its affiliates have decided to felicitate Hemantha Warnakulasuriya, President's Counsel, on his appointment as Sri Lanka's Ambassador to Italy.

Hemantha Warnakulasuriya is a former Assistant Secretary, Secretary and Deputy President of the Bar Association. During his tenure of office at the Bar Association, he is credited with having started many a scheme that has been continued by his successors. As the President of the Colombo Magistrate's Court Lawyers' Association, he with a reputed Bank, inaugurated a loan scheme for the members.

The Bank agreed to the proposal of Warnakulasuriya. It is one of the most successful loan schemes launched by the Bank. The felicitation dinner will be held At the Ceylon Continental Hotel on Saturday.
