Free to have fun: Translating into merry reality the assurance given by the LTTE in Berlin that there will be no more recruitment of child soldiers, 550 students from 21 schools in the North took time off from the rigours of class work to mix and mingle and have some fun with their counterparts from the south. The students along with their parents were in Colombo on Phase II of the North South Twinning Programme and visited the Sathutu Uyana yesterday.

Delft incident no deterrent to peace process : Navy on full alert, deploys divers

The Sri Lanka Navy placed on alert after Friday's incident near the Delft islands where three cadres of the LTTE blew themselves up, has deployed a team of divers and several additional patrol boats in the Delft area.
