The fly-over on the Kandy Colombo Road at the Kelaniya railway crossing, one of the major development projects nearing completion is concrete proof that the Government apart from eradicating terrorism, is also engaged in a massive development drive. Work on several similar fly-overs is also under way in the city.

TMVP submits 16 names as heads of local bodies

New members to take oaths on March 24:

The TMVP which secured a landslide victory at the Local Government polls in the Batticaloa district last week has submitted the list of names of sixteen of its elected members including a woman candidate to be appointed as Chairmen and Vice Chairmen of the eight Pradeshiya Sabha local bodies in the Batticaloa district.
