Over 25,000 to be resettled in Batticaloa district

Second stage of Govt's resettlement drive:

Over 25,000 Internally Displaced Persons will be resettled in the Pattipola Divisional Secretariat in Batticaloa under the second stage of the government's resettlement drive, which begins on June 1.

Angry Delft Islanders burn five LTTE bodies

The Delft islanders burnt the five bodies of the LTTE Sea Tigers in anger when they were washed ashore on Friday. Several Sea Tiger cadres were killed by the Navy on Thursday when they launched an attack at the Queenta Beach in Delft, sources said.
